First post on the new site! I pushed this portfolio live on Wednesday, and by Friday OpenAI was announcing GPT-5.6 under government supervision. Figured I'd document both.
Welcome to the new site. First post, so a little backstory feels fair.
The first commit went in on June 24, which makes this portfolio officially alive. It's Next.js with Tailwind, deployed on Vercel, built late at night in between homework and my CTO duties at Firebound.
The contribution graph on the home page is real, pulled straight from the GitHub API, so you can watch me slowly lose my mind in commit form.
One quirk worth admitting: I documented the entire codebase obsessively. Every component, every CSS variable, every questionable naming decision has an explanation attached. Partly for recruiters who peek at repos, mostly for future me at 1am wondering why past me did something.
Why build it at all? Partly because recruiters ask for links, sure. But mostly because I wanted one place where everything I ship lives together, written by me instead of generated boilerplate.
Because launching during this particular week feels historic. On Friday OpenAI revealed GPT-5.6, and not in the usual way. Following the drama around Anthropic's Fable 5 earlier in the month, the entire family went out as a limited preview to roughly twenty government approved companies.
There's a whole executive order framework forming around cyber capabilities, and model launches now come with Washington paperwork attached.
Reading that as a seventeen year old building side projects is surreal. These tools I use daily for homework help and bug fixing are being treated like dual use infrastructure, because at this scale they are.
